I’ve given my notice of resignation to both Cardinal Solutions and my client, Kroger. I’m currently scheduled to start at Amazon.com on July 31, 2006.

Wish me luck. My first challenge is relocating to Seattle (to corporate housing), then settling into my new job, and then finding a house or apartment.

I don’t know what I’m going to be doing there yet. I’ve asked, and been told I’ll be assigned to whichever group needs me the most at that time–and that can change on a day-to-day basis, so predicting who I’ll work with is useless. Regardless, I’m looking forward to the entreprenurial working environment, and I’ll admit that I’m also a little intimidated. What kind of value can I provide? What ideas do I have that might prove to help revenues or provide new and interesting services? You can bet I’ll be thinking about those for a while to come.

Expect fewer work related posts, but more general topics (as we prepare for the move and settle into our new town), and hopefully more game related posts once we’re into a new routine. And maybe, just maybe, once we’re out there I’ll have a little free time to play games again.
