We tried Nothing But Noodles for a late dinner last night. It was surprisingly good, and the decor and service were excellent. I haven’t been served on big china plates like that since I ate in a fancy-ish place, like Redfish in downtown Cincinnati, and the restaurant itself, despite being organized like a fast food place, had excellent ambience, furniture, and other appointments. Portion sizes were reasonable: Becky took half of her meal home.
I tried the Margherita Pasta:
Farfalle pasta smothered in our own made-to-order sauce of ripe tomatoes, fresh basil, fragrant garlic, red pepper flakes and extra virgin olive oil. Garnished with basil and fresh Parmesan and Romano cheese.
It was suprisingly hot and delicious to boot. Becky had the Fettuccini Alfredo (meatless):
Fettuccini pasta tossed with our freshly-made cream sauce. Garnished with freshly grated, aged Pecorino Romano and Parmesan cheese.
Healthy? Probably not. Delicious? Absolutely.
The only downside is now that we found another restaurant we like, after we move the closest one will be in Kennewick, Washington, or Portland, Oregon, about four hours away in each case.
On our list of things to eat before we move, I guess I’ll have to add Nothing But Noodles to Abuelo’s, Vincenzo’s in Sharonville, and LaRosa’s Pizza. Otherwise, it may be well over a year before we get back to Cincinnati to try these places again.
